The special TESOL training project
presented by ATI caters to all those aspiring TEFL teachers who
wish to be trained as English language professionals and live and
work in abroad. The special project launched by American TESOL
Institute involves an interactive course that introduces students
to a broad range of practical activities. Trainees quickly improve
their teaching skills and confidence to face a class in a friendly
and supportive atmosphere.
What is Special TESOL Project?
The Special TESOL Project is unique in its concept. It provides
the opportunity to spend six months to twelve months in Thailand,
China or South Korea, experience the local culture, interact with
the people, taste the regional food and at the same time earn a
teaching qualification and get paid for all of this. Sounds
unbelievable?! It is true! The project involves a
three-week TESOL Certification Course
followed by 6-12 months of teaching
in a Schools in
Thailand,
South Korea or
China.
Is it for you?
Are you just out of university and looking for some excitement in
life? Do you wish to travel to places that you have only read
about but don't have the means? Are you stagnating in your present
job and want a career change? Have you been a teacher all your
life but want to teach in another country or a different set or
level of students? If the answer to any of the above is yes, then
the Special TESOL Project is for you. It helps you earn while you
travel, it gives you the opportunity to just not be a bumbling
traveller but someone who is willing to contribute to society
while you travel. It gives you the scope to interact with young
minds. It helps you assimilate and understand new cultures,
people, sample new food and take in sites and sounds that
otherwise would have been impossible to experience.
In order to stand eligible as a TESOL
trainee, all you need to be is above the
age of 21, a native
English speaker with a degree
as qualification.
Why should you do the Special TESOL Project?
Many people complete a Teacher Training Course but then spend a
couple of months applying for a job, going for interviews, getting
paper work organized in trying to get a job. But once you have
enrolled in the
Special Thai Project or
Special China Project or
Special Korean Project Special program, all you
have to do is plan for your trip, buy your ticket and the rest is
our headache. From the time you land at the Country Airport to
completing the course and your ESL teaching assignment is our
responsibility. So you not only qualify as a TESOL Trained Teacher
but also have the experience to back your resume, which helps you
get better jobs later.
After the STP program you have the option of continuing as a
regular school teacher or you can be absorbed as corporate
trainers, Language School trainers, Voice and accent trainers and
Soft skill trainers. With the growing need for learning English in
Non English speaking nations the demand far exceeds the supply. So
there is never a dearth of teaching opportunities for TESOL
trained teachers.
