China has been an exotic, yet distant dream destination for the rest of the world for centuries. Now with the demand for English Language and English teachers, China has opened the doors to foreigners especially for native English speakers. ESL (English as Second Language) / EFL (English as Foreign Language) teachers form all part of the world is converging in China in response to the great demand for teaching English there. In China, English teaching is a sought after job and schools from kindergarten through university want a foreign teacher for their pupils. Along the well-trod backpacker routes tourists are solicited to stop and teach for a week, a month, or a year; in large cities, like Beijing or Shenzhen. Foreigners are often approached for tutoring or full-time teaching jobs. Most often than not ESL / EFL teachers from all around head to China and settle down for a while with a teaching career in different parts of China. The jobs offer extra facilities like accommodation, sometimes free air fare, medical allowances, etc, which are motivating enough for interested teachers to come and teach English in China.
Take an intensive in class three weeks full time TESOL Certification program in China; this will take place in the modern city of Shanghai. Shanghai is the biggest metropolis in China with a cosmopolitan environment. Take 6 months to 1 year teaching assignment immediately after completion of the TEFL Course.
